PINEAPPLE AND ACANTHUS LEAF CARVED QUEEN BED

Hard maple bed posts with acorn and acanthus leaf carving, executed by a supremely talented but unknown furniture-maker many decades ago. I rescued these posts from a barn clean-out and finished the elements that the original maker had not. Headboard and rails are genuine mahogany. Brass bed bolt covers. Finished in ruby shellac and wax.
